Fecafoot Deputy SG Resigns, Citing Harassment

Yaounde: Former Indomitable Lion, Benoit Angbwa, has resigned from his position as deputy Secretary General of the Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT. He announced his resignation in a letter on Monday, April 7, addressed to the FA president, citing unbearable working conditions and psychological harassment by the current Secretary General.

According to Cameroon News Agency, the 43-year-old accused the current Fecafoot Secretary General, Isaac Mandong, of psychological harassment. Angbwa outlined instances of derogatory remarks, excessive restrictions, verbal aggression, refusal to collaborate, and systematic criticism in his resignation letter. He also highlighted that the working environment had become incompatible with his duties.

Despite the challenges faced, Benoit Angbwa expressed gratitude for the experiences gained during his tenure and for the collaboration with colleagues. He also requested his work certificate in accordance with regulations.

Benoit Angbwa was appointed and installed as Deputy Secretary General by FECAFOOT President, Samuel Eto’o, in November 2024. His resignation follows that of Benjamin Pondy, who stepped down as Marketing and Communications Director of the Federation a few months earlier.
