Bobo-dioulasso: Racing Club de Bobo-Dioulasso (RCB) officially presented its new coach, Ivorian Soualiho Coulibaly, on Monday, August 11, 2025, during a meeting with the club’s journalists and supporters. Holder of a Confederation of African Football (CAF) B license and a federal A license, Soualiho Coulibaly arrives from the Soci©t© Omnisports de l’Arm©e (SOA) of C´te d’Ivoire. With nearly 25 years of experience in the profession, he intends to put his expertise to work for RCB to return to the top of Burkinabe football.
According to Burkina Information Agency, RCB president Ousmane Coulibaly introduced the new coach, expressing a strong desire to reclaim the club’s past glory. The club has not been Burkina Faso champion for nearly 11 years. Ousmane Coulibaly emphasized the goal of becoming champions this year, winning the Coupe du Faso, participating in African competitions, and potentially bringing a continental trophy back to the country.
Soualiho Coulibaly, on his part, assured familiarity with the Burkinabe championship and pledged to multiply victories to achieve the set objectives. He emphasized his commitment to maintaining discipline and rigor in his work, stating that no player, regardless of connections, would play without merit.
The Ivorian coach is open to advice and discussion but clarified that he would have the final say on sporting decisions. He aims to build a competitive squad capable of performing impressively on the pitch and bringing joy to the fans.
With this appointment, RCB management places great hopes in Soualiho Coulibaly’s experience and professionalism to propel the club back to prominence on both the national and continental stages.
