APDK Donates Materials to Support Faso Mebo Initiative

Koupela: The Association for Peace and Development of Kourittenga (APDK) made a significant donation to the presidential initiative “Faso Mebo” in Koupela. The donation, which took place on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, consisted of one and a half tons of materials, including 31 bags of cement, one bag of sikalite, and six packs of water. The Secretary General of Kourittenga Province, Fernand Wenceslas N’do, representing the High Commissioner, officially handed over the materials to the representative of the President of the special delegation of the commune of Koupela.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this gesture by the APDK marks the first response to the authorities’ call during the 12th edition of its cup. The donation is expected to set a precedent for others in the region to support the Faso Mebo initiative. Mr. N’do expressed his satisfaction with the early contributions and encouraged the residents of Kourittenga to emulate the APDK’s example.

Representatives of the APDK voiced their support for the initiative. Mathieu Silga, representing the association’s president, emphasized their enthusiasm to contribute, highlighting the importance of the initiative and encouraging others to participate in the movement. The community is urged to join efforts and ensure the success of the Faso Mebo initiative in Kourittenga.
