Delegation of Djibouti Public Diplomacy Arrives at Labu Railway Station

A delegation of Djibouti public diplomacy led by the country’s Interior State Minister, Siraj Omer arrived today at Labu Railway Station, the newly established Sheger city.

Upon arrival at Furi-Labu Railway Station of the Ethio-Djibouti Railways, the delegation was received by State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Birtukan Ayano and other officials.

The public diplomacy comprises some 112 members from the government officials, elders, journalists, members of the business community, experts, among others.

The delegation is expected to participate in various events during its stay in Ethiopia. The visit of the public diplomacy delegation is believed to play a positive role in strengthening the bilateral relationship between the Ethiopia and Djibouti.

Following their arrival, the officials planted tree seedlings as part of cementing the Ethiopian effort in its Green Legacy Initiative and would help to consolidate fraternity of the people of the two countries.
