DPM and FM Demeke, Cuba Vice President Mesa Hold Talks


Addis Ababa: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Demeke Mekonnen and Cuba Vice President Salvador Antonio Valdés Mesa had discussion about the multilateral cooperation and friendship between the two countries.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed about South-South cooperation, the multilateral international cooperation weakened by geopolitical competition and unjust sanctions imposed unilaterally.

With regard to bilateral cooperation, they emphasized the need to work together on public health, education and sugar industry development.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two sides also agreed to hold a bilateral political consultation soon in order to strengthen the cooperation
