Drone Space To Host Regional AI Conference In March


Drone Space Kenya, a leading innovator in the drone technology industry, has organised a Drone Technology and Data Analytics Conference slated for March 26 to 27 this year at Sarit Expo Centre in Westlands, Nairobi.

The two-day conference that is expected to bring together innovators, professionals, industry leaders and experts from the region is aimed at shaping the future of the dynamic industries of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Drone Technology and Data Analytics.

In a press statement sent to newsrooms, Drone Space Director Tony Mwangi expressed confidence that the objectives of the conference which have been aligned with the governments Bottom-Up Economic Empowerment Agenda, will help to unlock enormous potential of the youth.

‘I am confident that this conference will enhance the youth participation in developing home-grown technological solutions to common problems in our economy,’ he stated.

Director Mwangi said the event which will showcase the latest technologies comes at a time when many sectors
of the economy are increasingly adopting and integrating artificial intelligence to their operations to bolster efficiency and to maximise their performance.

‘This has already demonstrated AI’s potential with transformative outcomes in sectors such as business operations, healthcare, education, agriculture, financial services and e-commerce among others,’ said Mwangi.

According to the statement, Oxford Insights Government AI readiness index report of 2022, Kenya was ranked fifth in Africa for its readiness to adopt Artificial Intelligence in delivery of public services, not only ahead of her East African peers, but also setting the pace for the region.

During the conference renowned experts in AI, drone technology and data analytics will provide insights into the latest trends and future directions.

There will be a dedicated space for startups to pitch and demonstrate their groundbreaking solutions while participants will also be given practical session to enable them gain hands-on experience with the lat
est tools, platforms and technologies.

The upcoming conference will be the first to be held in Nairobi.
