In a heartwarming community initiative, Mr. Cleatine Asongwe Dhin Kangue successfully donated essential school materials to 100 underprivileged primary school pupils in Grand Baobab, Douala IV on Saturday 28 September 2024. The event was held at the Chefferie Hall at Grand Baobab, Douala IV in Bonaberi, where excited children and their families gathered to receive much-needed educational supplies.
The donation drive aimed to equip students with the tools necessary for academic success, including school bags, backpacks, notebooks, pens, pencils, and other essential materials. This initiative not only addresses the immediate educational needs of the children but also fosters a sense of hope and motivation among them.
‘We believe that every child deserves access to quality education and the materials that support their learning journey,’ said the vision bearer, Mr. Cleatine Asongwe Dhin Kangue, an elite from the Bonaberi, Douala IV. ‘It’s heartening to see the smiles on the children’s faces as they receive th
ese supplies, and we are grateful to friends and volunteers who made this possible.’
The event featured engaging activities, including educational games and motivational talks from local educators aimed at inspiring the young pupils to strive for excellence in their studies. Community members, parents, and local leaders attended the event, demonstrating widespread support for the cause.
Feedback from parents was overwhelmingly positive. ‘This donation means so much to us. We often struggle to provide our children with basic school supplies, and this support lifts a huge burden off our shoulders,’ said a local resident.
As the event concluded, the atmosphere was filled with laughter and joy, as children proudly carried their new backpacks home. Mr. Cleatine Asongwe Dhin Kangue is committed to continuing its efforts to support education in the community, with plans for future donation drives and programs aimed at enhancing educational and social opportunities for underprivileged children.
