Bobo-dioulasso: The 2025 Regional Culture Week (RCW) of the Houet Autonomous Region was officially launched on Monday, October 20, 2025, at the Bobo-Dioulasso Friendship Theater. The opening ceremony was chaired by the Secretary General of the Government, Ousmane Ouattara, who was representing the Minister of the Environment, Water and Sanitation, Roger Barro.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Ousmane Ouattara praised the cultural and artistic wealth of Houet in his speech, highlighting that the region, culturally autonomous, stands as a true breeding ground for talent that brings pride to Burkina Faso. The event’s significance was emphasized as it marks a preparatory step for the upcoming National Culture Week (SNC) scheduled from April 25 to May 2, 2026, in Bobo-Dioulasso.
