Intercommunity Conflict Displaces Over 1,291 People to Kpuere

Kpuere: More than 1,291 people, primarily women and children, have found refuge in Kpuere (Noumbiel) following an intercommunal conflict in Ghana, AIB noted. High Commissioner Drissa Hema, during his visit on August 27, conveyed the authorities’ solidarity and outlined measures to assist the displaced individuals. He acknowledged the host community and security forces for their spirit of solidarity.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the displaced individuals attribute the conflict to a land dispute. This situation has resulted in a significant influx of people into Kpuere, highlighting the urgent need for resources and support to accommodate the new arrivals. The authorities are working to ensure that the needs of the displaced population are met while maintaining peace and stability in the region.
