Pakistani Companies Eager to Invest in Ethiopia’s Promising Market

Addis ababa: Pakistani companies have expressed strong interest to do business and invest their capital in Ethiopia, recognizing the significant market and investment potential of the country. A three-day Pakistan Africa Business Development Conference and Exhibition is underway in Addis Ababa.

According to Ethiopian News Agency, Marketing Manager of Prix Pharmaceutical Company, Syed Abulhassan Abbas, stated that the exhibition will help participants align with Ethiopia’s policy and expand business relations with Africa. “We (the Prix Pharmaceutical Company) have always wanted to be part of African growth; and Ethiopia stands out in East Africa due to its large population of cattle and livestock,” he noted. Prix Pharmaceuticals is eager to partner with local investors in Ethiopia, introducing their products to gauge market potential before considering further investments.

Green Cables Company Chief Executive Officer, Mirza Adnan Manzoor, described Ethiopia as a gateway to Africa with vast opportunities. He was impressed by the vibrant people and high literacy rate he observed upon arrival at Addis Ababa Airport. The CEO expressed eagerness to explore local distribution channels before setting up a production facility in the country, with plans to invest in the future.

Sadaqat Limited General Marketing Manager, Tariq Sattar, highlighted the exhibition as a valuable experience due to the influx of interested visitors. Sadaqat Textile, a leading textile company in Pakistan specializing in home textiles, is closely observing local behaviors and government policies to assess the feasibility of future investments.
