Addis ababa: Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, alongside high-level government officials, reviewed the completed Addis International Convention Center-Goro-VIP Airport corridor today.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, the Prime Minister highlighted that the overall city corridors approach provides significant hope for the future, with the project beginning with four corridors in the first phase and expanding to eight in the second phase.
The reviewed corridor spans a 12.74 km stretch, featuring over 29 km of pedestrian walkways and 15.27 km of dedicated bike lanes. The Prime Minister elaborated that this corridor includes expanded road lanes, a new alternative road from Goro to Bole Airport, and extensive riverside development along the route. The infrastructure also integrates seven sports centers, car parks, taxi and bus terminals, cafés, restaurants, and public toilets.

hasized Ethiopia’s continuous expansion in every sphere and reiterated that the journey toward prosperity will not face hurdles or come to a halt. He noted this achievement reflects a different vision and a renewed work culture. While half of the city has been addressed so far, there are still areas committed to transformation.
