PM, heads of Chinese firms discuss steel, cast iron pipe project at $2 bn

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli discussed with chairmen of two Chinese firms, including, Egypt-TEDA Company, the implementation of a project to produce ductile iron pipe and steel.

The cabinet said in a statement on Thursday 23/3/2023 that the premier held a meeting with officials of the two companies to probe carrying out the project at $2 billion investments in the China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone.

The move came after Madbouli’s recent visit to the the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone), where he had meetings with officials of the Chinese companies that desire to invest in Al-Ain al-Sokhna area.

The premier added that the state welcomes and supports that great project, voicing hope to accomplish this step successfully.
