State Minister Mesganu Confers with German Parliament Committee Delegation


Addis Ababa: Foreign Affairs State Minister Mesganu Arga held talks today with a high-ranking German Parliament Committee for the United Nations, International Organizations and Civil Conflict Prevention delegation led by Monika Grutters.

Various topics ranging from bilateral relations to international issues were discussed during the meeting, according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Recalling the longstanding diplomatic relations of the two countries and the recent visits of the two leaders, State Minister Mesganu reaffirmed that the two countries enjoy extended political and economic ties and stressed the importance of strengthening the relations to a comprehensive level.

The state minster further informed the delegation about the Pretoria Peace Agreement, underscoring the wide-ranging efforts made to date by the government for its full implementation.

He also ensured the commitment of the government to continue its efforts.

The state minister also stressed Ethiopia’s resolve to work with partners for
peace and stability of the region.

German delegation leader Grutters expressed the importance of scaling up bilateral relations of the two countries and underlined the need for jointly addressing existing challenges.
