European Union Delegation in Mauritius Seeks Office Support Agent

Port Louis: The European Union Delegation to the Republic of Mauritius is actively seeking to recruit an Office Support Agent for its Administration Section. The delegation, which operates as a fully-fledged diplomatic mission in close coordination with the embassies and consulates of the 27 EU Member States, is looking to strengthen its administrative support team. The Office Support Agent will play a crucial role in managing visitor registrations, handling communications, organizing logistics, and supporting various administrative tasks.

According to European Union, the responsibilities of the Office Support Agent include welcoming and registering visitors, ensuring effective switchboard operation, liaising with security personnel during meetings, and handling mail distribution. The position also involves providing clerical support, coordinating events, managing the administration section’s events calendar, and maintaining updated contact lists.

The role requires coordination of logistics and meeting facilitation, which includes managing conference room schedules, coordinating with drivers, and maintaining supplies. The candidate will also act as a key contact for building management and maintenance issues, coordinate orders for business cards and printed products, and manage newspaper subscriptions.

Applicants are required to have a Higher School Certificate, French Baccalaureate, or an equivalent qualification, with at least one year of experience in administrative duties. Proficiency in Mauritian Creole, English, and French is essential, along with a strong command of Microsoft Office and videoconference tools. Additional assets include a diploma in Secretarial or Administrative studies and experience in a diplomatic mission.
