Manga: The promoters of the Nazinon Lands Festival convened with the press on Thursday, September 18, 2025, in Manga, the capital of the Nazinon region, to outline the objectives of the event slated for October 23 to 26, 2025. The gathering marked an opportunity for the organizers to call upon the involvement of the public to ensure the festival’s success.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the traditional authorities, represented by the traditional chief of Manga, Naambikinga of Naaba Kiba II, bestowed their blessings and gratitude towards the promoters for the honor bestowed upon the town. The chief asserted his commitment to rallying the population and other religious groups in support of the initiative.
Promoter Atti Denise Koudougou/Oulon, who also heads the ATTI-EVENT, emphasized that the festival would serve as a platform to showcase the cultural unity and vibrant heritage of the Nazinon region. Koudougou described the festival as a framework for solidarity and territorial dynamism, bringing together cultural actors to share and build a common identity.
Ms. Koudougou highlighted that over twenty modern and traditional artists are expected to perform, demonstrating the diverse cultural heritage in the Manga nation square. From October 23 to 26, 2025, the city is set to resonate with the sounds of modern and traditional music, alongside various recreational and sporting activities.
Prior to the press conference, journalists were given the opportunity to visit His Majesty Naaba Kiiba II, the traditional chief of Manga. The festival receives support from Aziz Abdoul Tiemtore, head of Pro-communication, and operates under the patronage of the Minister of Culture, Pindwende Gilbert Ouedraogo.
