Mouhoun Sanitation Initiative: Patriotic Immersion Graduates Clean Up Safane Town Hall

Mouhoun: The 2025 patriotic immersion graduates carried out a sanitation operation at the Safane town hall on Monday, September 22, 2025. Through this civic gesture, they intend to put into practice the values of civic duty and responsibility acquired during their training, while contributing to the beautification and preservation of public heritage. Armed with dabas, machetes, and unwavering commitment, the young people of the 2025 patriotic immersion cleared areas invaded by weeds and garbage, offering the community a healthier and more welcoming environment.

According to Burkina Information Agency, their action, beyond simple chores, is part of a civic approach to preserving common heritage and promoting collective hygiene. Addressing the young people, the President of the special delegation (PDS) of Safane, Ali Traore, welcomed the initiative and congratulated the young people for their high sense of civic duty. He urged them to remain role models for their comrades and to embody, in all circumstances, the values of discipline, solidarity, and respect for public property. “You are called to be the torchbearers of the Republic and to maintain the spirit of responsibility in each of your actions,” said Ali Traore.

On behalf of his peers, Siaka Dayo reaffirmed his generation’s commitment to putting into practice the teachings received during the thirty days of patriotic immersion. “We want this experience not to remain a mere memory, but to translate into useful actions, beneficial not only for us but also for future generations,” he said. This initiative eloquently illustrates the objective pursued by the patriotic immersion program, which is to transform young people into conscious and committed actors, capable of putting their knowledge and energy at the service of the community.

By making knowledge a lever for service and commitment a living legacy, these young graduates set an example of active and responsible citizenship. Ultimately, the action of the graduates of the patriotic immersion program in Safane reminds us that the future of Burkina Faso is built through young people when they choose to invest in serving the community. Reflecting their commitment, it is through simple but meaningful gestures that a nation resolutely focused on responsibility, solidarity, and shared progress is emerging.
