Sandbondtenga: The online media outlets Kaya Info and El TV contributed to the Faso Mebo program in Kaya through a donation of 10 bags of cement. This contribution was made on August 29, 2025, as part of a call from the President of Faso for citizen mobilization in support of national development.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the donors expressed that the half-ton cement donation symbolizes the commitment of media professionals beyond their traditional roles in coverage. “This donation aims to encourage people to support the call of the President of Faso, and to demonstrate that media professionals can, beyond the pen, microphone and camera, actively contribute to building the country,” stated Madi Ouedraogo, the spokesperson for the donors. He emphasized that this gesture is intended to inspire other citizens to engage in nation-building efforts.
Adama Simpore, the first vice-president of the Kaya Special Communal Delegation, received the donation and praised the initiative. He acknowledged the media’s dual role in covering Faso Mebo’s activities and contributing cement to support the youth in their endeavors. Simpore called on other citizens and social actors to emulate the example set by the online media.
Following the presentation, media personnel engaged in the practical task of assisting young people in organizing paving stones that had already been produced.
