Ouagadougou: The US Congress yesterday, Friday, welcomed the progress of territorial reconquest and the successes of the agricultural offensive. The President of the Transitional Legislative Assembly (ALT), Dr. Ousmane Bougouma, received in audience, on Friday, August 29, 2025, a delegation from the American Congress led by Senator James Austin Scott. The discussions focused on common development issues, particularly in the economic, agricultural and security fields.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Honorable Scott praised the efforts of the Burkinabe government, in particular the success of the agricultural offensive as well as the progress made in the reconquest of the national territory and the dynamism of the economic sector. For his part, Dr. Ousmane Bougouma expressed his gratitude for this mark of consideration and sympathy, stressing that this meeting opens the way to strengthening the ties of cooperation and friendship between Burkina Faso and the United States of America.
