Bogodogo University Hospital Center to Host Open Days Focused on Patient-Centered Care

Ouagadougou: The Bogodogo University Hospital Center (CHIJ-B) is set to host Open Days on September 10 and 11, 2025, focusing on “Humanized patient-centered care in a context of resilience of the health system,” as part of its ongoing efforts to address the health needs of the population.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the initiative was announced in a note from CHIJ-B dated September 4, 2025, signed by its general director, Seydou Nombre. The note highlights the Open Days as a vital opportunity for the hospital to enhance its visibility and effectively meet the health demands of the community. This event marks the first of its kind for CHIJ-B and will coincide with the celebration of the Days of Excellence (JE), offering consultations at reduced rates.

The hospital aims to engage the community through a series of activities over the 48-hour event. These include free medical consultations with general practitioners or specialists, and free screenings for breast cancer, cervical cancer, and precancerous lesions. The program also features mammograms and ultrasounds via a mobile clinic, along with awareness monitoring, and screenings for diabetes, hepatitis, HIV, and high blood pressure.

In addition to medical services, the Open Days will feature a recognition ceremony for outstanding healthcare personnel, public lectures, and guided tours of the hospital’s facilities. These activities are organized under the patronage of the Minister of State, Minister of Agriculture, Animal Resources and Fisheries, Commander Isma«l Sombie.
