Burkina Prime Minister’s Office Donates Equipment to Faso-Mebo Initiative

Ouagadougou: The Prime Minister handed over, this Saturday, to the Faso-Mebo Presidential Initiative five vibrators to improve the solidity of paving stones, as well as 135 various tools including dabas, beads, wheelbarrows and machetes, noted the AIB.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Secretary General of the Prime Minister’s Office, Abdou-Salam Gampene, stated that this donation, valued at approximately four million CFA francs, equivalent to the cost of 40 tonnes of cement, aims to enhance the quality of paving stones produced by Faso-Mebo.

“Paving stones made with shovels are good, but when they are vibrated, they are even better,” he explained.

Mr. Gampene added that the Faso-Mebo initiative exemplifies the endogenous development of Burkina Faso, pointing out that “all the developed countries in the world have gone through this.”

He also invited the people of Burkina Faso to intensify their mobilization around the Presidential Initiative, emphasizing that “any contribution, however modest, is important.”

Finally, he urged the population to become more involved in order to identify and correct any shortcomings observed in the implementation of Faso-Mebo.
