Ouagadougou: The prosecutor’s office at the Ouaga I High Court has initiated a judicial investigation against Ma®tre DOLI Ini Benjamine Ester, a lawyer accused of treason, insulting the Head of State, and attempting to demoralize the armed forces. This development was disclosed in a press release received by AIB on Saturday.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the prosecution, after obtaining authorization from the Attorney General at the Ouagadougou Court of Appeal, instructed a judicial police unit to pursue an investigation into Ma®tre DOLI Ini Benjamine Esther. The charges stem from allegations of treason, insults directed at the Head of State, and efforts to undermine the morale of the armed forces.
The investigation was prompted by a series of publications observed at the end of August 2025 on the Facebook profile of “Ini Benjamine Esther DOLI.” The public prosecutor’s office considered these publications potentially criminal, leading to the submission of a request for investigative authorization to the Attorney General. The request was made in accordance with Article 6 paragraph 2 of Regulation No. 05/CM/UEMOA of 25 September 2014, which pertains to the harmonization of legal profession rules within the UEMOA area.
The prosecution has reiterated its unwavering commitment to upholding the law, assuring the public that the investigation will be carried out rigorously and in strict adherence to existing legal procedures and the rights of the accused.
