Ouagadougou: Four associations have collectively contributed 18,935,500 CFA francs to the Patriotic Support Fund, as part of efforts to aid in the reconquest of the territory. The contributions were officially handed over to the Ministry of Economy.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the African Society for Engineering and Financial Intermediation (SA2IF) led the donations with a contribution of 10 million FCFA. The funds were presented to the Patriotic Support Fund on Friday, August 28, 2025, in Ouagadougou.
In addition to SA2IF, the Forever Builders Association contributed 7 million FCFA. The associations ‘Naanle’, based in Modena, Italy, and ‘Namanegbzanga’ also made donations of 1,636,500 FCFA and 300,000 FCFA, respectively.
The donations were received by Vieux Abdoul Rachid Soulama, Secretary General of the Ministry of Economy and Finance. Soulama commended the associations for their commitment to supporting the forces engaged in operations. He noted that the gesture extended beyond monetary value, representing sincere patriotism and reminding defense and security forces of the nation’s support.
The Secretary General highlighted the resilience and solidarity of the population amidst security challenges, urging the continuation of this patriotic spirit. The donors emphasized their contributions as a patriotic duty and encouraged all Burkinabe citizens to mobilize for the full reconquest of the territory.
