Kisii Gets New County Commissioner

The outgoing Kisii County Commissioner (CC) Tom Anjere has handed over to the immediate former Deputy County Commissioner for Kisumu East Sub County, Joseph Kibet.

Speaking during the handover ceremony at the Kenya Institute of Highways and Building Technology, Kisii Branch on the outskirts of Kisii town, the incoming CC called for support and collaboration from the security team and Heads of Departments within the county.

‘This is my first time working in Kisii and I hope my stay will be a success and a blessing to you and the entire residents of the County,’ said Kibet.

He lauded his predecessor for the good work he had done during his tenure in the county and wished him well in his next assignment.

On his part, Anjere said the local national government administrative officers had supported him over the last one year of service in the county, and that together they had achieved several milestones.

He urged the officers to continue supporting the government’s Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BE
TA), which is geared towards achieving economic growth and sustainable development.

The outgoing CC has been recalled back to the Nairobi headquarters for redeployment.
