Ouagadougou: After a year of disruption, the Orange BF network has been restored in Madouba. The rural commune of Madouba in the province of Koosin, deprived of the Orange BF network with 4G since September 2024, was restored in the afternoon of August 29, 2025, to the delight of the population. The network was unavailable in the commune due to terrorist acts.
According to Burkina Information Agency, this news comes as a relief to the population of the area, which was cut off and heavily dependent on Mali’s telephone networks. Madouba, a rural commune in the province of Koosin, borders Mali to the north and west, the province of Banwa to the south, the province of Mouhoun to the south-east, the province of Nayala to the east, and the province of Sourou to the north-east.
Thanks to the courage and determination of the fighting forces, the network was re-established in Madouba. This achievement is expected to continue growing until the final victory over the disruptions that plagued the region.
